I love cooking buffalo wings at home because they are so easy to make and can be customized to your liking. You can make them as spicy or as mild as you want and the possibilities for dipping sauces are endless. In this recipe, I will be sharing my favorite way to make them, but feel free to adjust the recipe to your liking.
One of the best things about this recipe is that it only requires a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. The key to making these wings crispy is to coat them in flour before frying them. This creates a nice crust on the outside while keeping the inside juicy. Serve them with a side of blue cheese dressing and celery for the ultimate game day snack.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken wings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Blue cheese dressing and celery for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Dip the chicken wings into the flour mixture, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Place the wings on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- In a small saucepan, mix together the hot sauce and melted butter.
- Once the wings are done baking, toss them in the hot sauce mixture.
- Serve the wings with blue cheese dressing and celery on the side.
